From August 19 to 21, 2025, the 2nd Summer School of the Swedish Electricity Storage and Balancing Centre (SESBC) took place at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden, under the direction of Massimo Buongiorno and Anna Martinelli. The event focused on long-term energy storage with a special emphasis on PEM fuel cells and electrolysers. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christina Roth, member of the SESBC advisory board, was invited to give a presentation entitled “In-operando X-ray methods to understand performance and degradation in fuel cells and electrolysers.” In her presentation, she informed the participating doctoral students and postdocs about current developments and research results in the field of electrochemical energy conversion.
