Jan Štrbík is a second-year master’s student of Faculty of Chemical Technologies at University of Chemistry and Technology Prague. He studied Chemistry and Chemical Technology bachelor program with specialization in Hydrogen and Membrane technologies, and he continues this path in Hydrogen and Membrane Technologies master’s study program at UCT Prague. For his bachelor’s thesis, he studied the impact of catalyst layer deposition via ultrasonication and inkjet printing on its morphology and performance in LT-PEM fuel cells. Other areas of his work during his studies include membrane testing and optimization of hydrogen compressors. Jan is joining the Chair for Electrochemical Process Engineering in the University Bayreuth of Bayreuth on an Erasmus mobility program. He is working on direct coating of fuel cell membranes under the umbrella of the Bayern Innovative CCM plus project (Joint project between UBT and Dinex Deutschland GmbH) to complete his specialized traineeship and to gain further experience in the field of hydrogen technologies.
