Humboldt meeting of the Franconian regional group
On 16 February 2024, the Franconian regional group of the German Humboldt Network held its first meeting in Bayreuth..
Initiated by Prof. Wilhelm Schwieger, FAU, and organised by the Chair of Electrochemical Process Engineering, the participants from Erlangen, Regensburg and Bayreuth focused on the topic All about beer. The formal part was made up of scientific presentations by Prof Christina Roth on the reduction of anthropogenic CO2 and by Thomas Steiner, MSc (Chair for Process Biotechnology), on the science of beer brewing. Afterwards, there was even time for a guided tour of the LSWV department.
The evening programme took place in the Maisels Biererlebniswelt.
