The LSWV at the 244th ECS Meeting in Göteborg, Sweeden

From 8th to 12th October 2023, Ramee Jalan, Wiebke Hagemeier and Tilo Held had the opportunity to represent the Chair of Materials Process Engineering and the Bavarian Centre for Battery Technology (BayBatt) at the 244th International Conference of the Electrochemical Society in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The conference provided an excellent platform for scientific exchange and the presentation of research results in the field of electrochemistry and materials science. During the conference, Ramee Jalan presented her latest results on "In-Situ Spectroscopic Investigation of 3-D Gas Diffusion Electrodes for Fuel Cell Reactions in Half-Cell Setups". Wiebke Hagemeier presented the results of her master's thesis on "Alternating Si/C Thin-Films as Model Anode Material for Lithium-Ion Batteries" during the poster session on battery materials. Tilo Held gave a presentation on "Studying Degradation of Micro- and Nano-Scale Silicon in Si/rGO-Anode Materials for Lithium-Ion Batteries - Towards a Fair Comparison".

Philipp Rank from Keylab Glass Technology was also represented at the conference with a presentation on "Influence of Particle Size and Morphology on Electrochemical Properties of Glass Particle-Based Separators for Lithium-Ion Batteries" as well as colleagues from the BayBatt. We would like to thank everyone involved for the constructive exchange and look forward to continuing the successful collaboration and the future successes of our doctoral students at an international level.
