Overview

Welcome back to the Bayreuth office!

During the semester break, Prof. Roth spent two months at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand, as part of a fellowship in the Jack Erskine Program. The stay was part of a bilateral BMBF-funded research project between Germany and New Zealand. Not only was Prof. Roth able to have an intensive scientific exchange with her host, Prof. Aaron Marshall, but she was also given the opportunity to teach bachelor students of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering (CAPE) in their 3rd semester. This is because the Erskine program is associated with a guest lectureship, meaning that Prof. Roth was able to teach the basics of Thermodynamics for six weeks. An exciting time with many impressions has now come to an end, but the collaboration with Prof. Aaron Marschall and his team in New Zealand is far from over and will continue to develop after this fruitful exchange. The LSWV extends its gratitude to Prof. Marschall for hosting Prof. Roth, and enthusiastically welcomes her back to the institute.
